in need of ideas

I am stealing this idea from my friend who turned 30 earlier this year. She did a "30 days to 30" celebration to get excited about turning 30 (I am sooo no looking forward to this). On each of the 30 days prior to her 30th birthday she did something fun, ie go hiking, get a pedicure, etc.

I have some thoughts of what I could do but I need a lot more to fill out the month. I figured you might have some ideas that I'd have never thought about. I'd like to make most of them things I can do with my family and friends and keep it as inexpensive as possible. Keep in mind that for one week of this I will be on vacation with my family (camping in the mountains) so camping ideas are much appreciated and also, I'll be doing this the end of July through August so cooler activities preferred LOL.

Of course, I'll post updates on the blog as we do things!

Andrew's Baseball Season

Andrew's first baseball season came to an end with tonight's "awards" ceremony. Andy is coveting his new trophy while Mom and Dad breathe a sigh of relief for the break from the tough schedule of games and practices. And... as proud parents with television backgrounds must do... we put together a little video montage of the season for all our friends and family that don't live anywhere near us anymore.

delinquent in my duties

With all that has been going on recently, I realize I've been somewhat delinquent in my responsibilities to update this blog. I apologize for that. We recently hosted Hunter's birthday party and following that, I reached a huge milestone for myself. I became a Lifetime member of Weight Watchers. In all, I have lost 50 lbs since January 2008. That is about 30% of my body weight, gone! I can't put into words how this experience has changed me. I am a different person, outside and in.
